 Writing
Julian's revision of the Wiltshire volume of The Buildings of England series was published 8 June 2021. A book with Timothy Mowl, Unbuilt Bath, was published in October 2023, and a piece on C.E. Giles, architect, was published in the Proceedings of Somerset Archaeological & Natural History Soc (SANHS), 2023, with a view to editing his unpublished autobiography for the Somerset Record Society. A c
ontribution to Jonathan Wooding and J. Wyn Evans eds., The Condition of Menevia, Studies in the history of St Davids Cathedral, on Gilbert Scott and the restoration of St Davids Cathedral was published in 2024, University of Wales Press. In collaboration with Timothy Mowl he wrote Unbuilt Cambridge,  published like Unbuilt Bath by Stephen Morris.
